I was able to get my husband, Mike, to go with me on doTERRA’s trip this year to the Dominican Republic. It was to be a mix of fun and service projects. It was even more fun that my sister, Emili, and her husband, Dallon, were there with us too.
We had a great time with friends…
and just hanging out on the beach.
There was a sand castle building contest,
And someone even built a replica of doTERRA headquarters.
We did some service, putting bikes together for kids.
We also put together some wheelchairs (this is my friend Melissa)…
and school kits (featuring my sister Emili and I). We also got in on another AWESOME service project called Days For Girls. And I will tell you about that in another post.
It was an all-inclusive resort, the food was good, but just okay sometimes. Mike doesn’t like resorts, so he wanted to get out and try some real Dominican food. We met an awesome server named Carlos, in one of the restaurants. And asked him if he would take us out for some local food and shopping. We had an awesome time!
The food was terrific and so was the shopping (although I don’t know if the guys would agree about the shopping part).
Mike and I took an excursion where we did some snorkeling, speed boat driving, and something called snuba (which is a little like snorkeling, but you only go down 10 feet).
It was a very fun trip!
Mike got a chance to talk with the doTERRA executive over their Healing Hands Foundation, and he heard about all the amazing service doTERRA is doing all over the world. He was very impressed. So impressed with the many ways they are helping people, that he decided to join in doing my doTERRA business with me. Hooray!
