Holiday Wassail with Essential Oils

We LOVE holiday wassail with essential oils, and start making it on Halloween until after Christmas every year! It’s a huge hit!

And using essential oils wisely can boost the immune systems of your family and friends as well! It’s a delicious, warming drink to sip when it’s cold, or when you want a winning offer at your next holiday party!

Wassail-Tall-200x300

The last several years, I’ve had less time to make wassail, and I’ve wanted to taste the essential oils. They give it such a zip of flavor, and help me make the wassail in only 5 minutes! So I’ve switched to making my wassail with only essential oils and stevia, no added sugar. It’s amazing!

I took this to our annual trunk or treat, and everyone was raving about it! Even the kids came back for seconds! And the ginger in it, warms them up so they’re not freezing and complaining about the cold. Several moms asked me for the recipe. 😍

I make this for Thanksgiving too, and afterwards, I print off this recipe a bunch of times, I make little sample bottles with all the essential oils for one batch, and I give it out to friends and family in a tiny little gift bag! They love it! ❤️

You will LOVE this!!

  • Author: Jenni Wilson
  • Total Time: 5 min
Scale

Ingredients

1 quart (4C) apple juice
2 C water
2 C orange juice
1/4 C lemon juice
A good dash of pure stevia extract

10 drops pure lemon essential oil
8 drops pure wild orange essential oil
1-2 drops pure cinnamon essential oil
1-2 drops pure ginger essential oil
1-2 drops pure clove bud essential oil

(You can substitute a few drops of On Guard oil blend, if you don’t have these others.)

Instructions

  • Combine water and juice and stevia in a large pot.
  • Bring to a simmer for 1 minute.
  • Turn off heat and add essential oils. Do a taste test by putting some wassail in a cup with an ice cube. If the oils are to strong, then simmer for a few more minutes.
  • Serve, or keep the pot on low and serve for a few hours. If you don’t drink it all that day, then cover your pot until morning and reheat.

If you don’t have these amazing oils in your home, you can get them all with the wholesale discount here, through my affiliate link. 💝

Do you need to refrigerate unused Wassail overnight?

    • Jenni says:

I leave it out over one night, and reheat to simmer the next day. That has been fine, because it has the oils in it. But for longer periods of time, I put it in the fridge.
